Meet the Team!
Barbara Banta (Senior Artist)

How long have you been working at FFHA? 26 years, starting my 27th year this year.
What do you do at FFHA? Senior Artist is my official title but I also schedule volunteers, quote and facilitate events, run the studio, touch-up murals and help prep supplies for client’s orders.
What is your favorite form of creative expression? I enjoy painting & singing.
What is your favorite part of your job? I enjoy interacting with the patients in the hospital or volunteers in the studio and at events.
What is your favorite part of our mission? That our artwork can bring some hope & encouragement to those in difficult situations.
Which of our paint colors are you? Why? I love Patina and Indian Turquoise because they remind me of the sky and ocean, they’re calming. As for a color I am….probably orange ~ a mix of sunshine and sass.
What type of mural would you like to see added to our collection? Farmland/Country/Backroads feel….old bicycle against a old fence with wildflowers, dirt road OR old truck with dog in back, or parked in field with flowers/ old fence, etc.
If you could do anything at all, what would it be? Swim with dolphins and whales and photograph them in their natural habitat while traveling the world.
What is something that you like to do during your time away from the studio? Travel to new places, hang out with family & friends.
